Ah, New York City! The city of dreamers! The land of endless possibilities! One of the most iconic places in America! We all know it, and those of us who’ve lived there or visited love it. How could you not?
Well, someone on TikTok started a hilarious trend exposing the nitty, gritty details of New York that are not exactly lovable, but are what make New Yorkers *tough.*
TikTok user @literallykaseyy was the first to upload her video featuring her saying, “Sometimes people are like, ‘Why’d you move back to New York?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know, I just really love the ambience and there’s such a charm to the city, you know?'” paired with this hilarious video of a subway rat:

You never know what random celebrity you’ll meet out on the streets!
And you don’t have to go to Broadway to experience exceptional talent:
You never know what type of unique creature you’ll encounter!
Or what kind of danger lies around the corner:
You get to experience real-life special effects:
And you’re bound to meet some new type of critter wherever you go:
There are known hurdles that every New Yorker has overcome at least once:
And no matter what anyone else says, it’s your strange, beautiful, weird, wonderful city — and you absolutely wouldn’t change a thing.
