Cardi B was upset Tuesday on Twitter after a video emerged showing what appeared to be a boat party with President Donald Trump’s supporters playing her controversial single, “WAP.”
“Wasn’t republican conservative throwing a little fit bout this song?” she tweeted, noting the criticism the Meg the Stallion-assisted single received from the likes of noted conservative commentators Ben Shapiro and Laura Ingraham. “Anyways this makes my a** itchy,” she continues. “I’m callin the fbi on this festivity. They are not quarantining.”

Twitter user @kittenman7 saw the Trump fans’ enjoyment as a unifier of sorts: “Omg, girl you realize you have both Conservatives, Liberals, and All kinds of people that Love you and your music. Remember Music can Unite People also.”
But most had jokes, like @Louis_J80:

Trump supporters on boats in the summertime aren’t uncommon, and it’s unlikely Cardi contacted the authorities. However, given her admiration for left-leaning politicians, like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), “WAP” being played on a Trump flotilla is interesting at best.
Cardi has backed former vice president and current Democratic nominee Joe Biden as of late.
On the brighter side, the Bronx rapper located some of the people who helped “WAP” officially debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart on Monday, while also breaking the record for the most streams in the U.S. the week after its release, with 93 million streams.
